Located in Dooradoyle, Limerick in Ireland; the University Hospital, Limerick provides a full 24 / 7 / 365 response service for both emergency and critical care.
It serves as the only Emergency Department in the Region, ensuring patients receive the attention they require as soon as possible.
It is also one of the eight designated cancer centers in the country – playing a crucial role with many emergency and complex surgeries taking place in the hospital.
Challenge and Solution:
Our client’s required significant space to act as a Pathology Administration Section for the Hospital, approaching JDC Building Works to act as design and build contractors overseeing the project.
Controlling fully the activities both onsite and offsite, JDC Building Works manufactured, delivered, and installed a two-storey, steel-framed, Modular Office Block with full B-Car and Hand-over in just under 13 weeks.

With the inclusion of an Elevator Lift, Mechanical Doors, Disabled Toilets and Wheelchair Accessible Entryways; our team ensures that the office block met the inclusivity requirements of a broad range of individuals and their capabilities.
Office Areas
Equipped with the necessary technological amenities; desks and furnishings built by our own inhouse joiners, the build is the perfect environment for the administration team’s activities.
Standard Storage
Ample storage space was integrated, providing the staff with dedicated areas to store equipment and supplies neatly and securely.
Welfare Facilities
Inclusivity and accessibility were key in our design. We included male, female, and accessible washrooms, catering to all students and staff members with ease and dignity.
