Details
Rathore School in Newry received new SEN facilities, including specialist classrooms and two multi-sensory rooms. The school supports pupils aged 3–19 with severe learning difficulties across the Newry and Down region, aiming to nurture lifelong learners in a safe, engaging environment.
The project faced challenges due to the steep, roadside site requiring a major retaining structure and services straddling the boundary. With a tight schedule from April to August, early consultation and structured communication resolved M&E, architectural, and civil layout issues, minimising programme impact.
Location
The project informed JDC’s adoption of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for live, version-controlled updates. Completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, it showcases JDC Building Works’ expertise in large-scale modular solutions.
